Gotong-Royong

               For our forth project are ‘Gotong-Royong bersama kelab pewaris” this project are held on 25th April 2015, Saturday. The “gotong-royong” objective are to make sure the safety and cleanliness for the children. These programs are went well and the parents are really supportive with this kind of programme.

        This “Gotong-royong” has given the task to Fathers, Mothers and Teachers. For the fathers, they need to make a big work like cut the trees. While for mothers and teachers we need to clean the drain and around the preschool classroom. During this “gotong-royong” also, the parents and teachers bring a food as pot luck.

      From this program I can see the cooperation between teacher, fathers, and mothers. I also found the strong bond relationship between parents and teachers that later will develop positive environment between teachers and children.

During the “gotong-royong”

what can i tell from here is, express the ideas. do not keep inside the head. its does not matter no one is listen, no one does not want do it, but its does a matter if that still inside a head and regret later. This activity tell me that parents want their children safety and they contribute themselves for their children safety. not only for the ideas but also for the energy with a teachers and principal approval. 

i really love to see their support and a helping hand <3

Day 16: more to understand the toddler

Bismillah..

Now is 1.50am in the morning means that yesterday was my 3rd week as practicum student and actually i feel so much awesome with those little kids.. and tired.. more exciting..

For the kids name.. i begin to remember all their name and things too but some of still quite hard for me.. yesterday might be my mistake when i changing their drypers who are not belong to them.. but it's still okay after being realize by their other teacher.

For the third week i had learn the each kids attitude.. not all but some of them i know what is their abilities and what they are special with. Why she is cry.. why she is need help.. why they acted like that or those.. and i try my best to be the same to all kids.. to listen their words.. but after all i know i lack many things too compare with many teachers with bigger experience than myself.

The thing i still can't control is they hardly to listen my instruction. Sometime i do feel some of fail..  i try to not use my loud speaker. But after all i know they just a little toddler who are active and they are developing their personalities for their character in the future.

And the things that still not changing from the first day to my third week is.. how difficult for parents to smile or say thank you for a teacher when the teacher open their car door and hold their kids hand or carry them. Sad to this kind of parents. Its not that hard to smile or say thank you.. when you do this kind of things Insyaallah that will bring positive environment to your kids.. the teacher will feel appreciate.. the kid will be happy too in the morning..

Other than that.. i try to adapt with this environment.. i know that my expectation to the placed that i had dream for my practicum before this just so high.. i dream of the great place.. but then.. this is just a place that i get.. i met with this kind of teacher.. this kind of school.. this kind of principle.. yes.. the high expectation different just because there are a different between study and working.. really different.. what you are study you might not see in your working style.. but the knowledge.. the skill that you had learned is needed for yourself..

Okay that all for today.. and for those little boy.. i do feel sad.. i hope that there will be a silver lining for him.. and i promised that i will with him..

between parents teacher relationship

Strong parent–teacher relationships are invaluable. They contribute to a positive school climate, family engagement in student learning, improved student performance, and the retention of high quality teachers. Providing teachers with the resources they need to effectively connect learning in the classroom to learning at home is a challenge that many districts are struggling to address. Research shows that one of the most important factors affecting a child’s performance in school is how involved their parents are in their education. The parents can get involve and be their advocate and find out either their child is receiving the quality education they deserve have.

            Developing a healthy parent-teacher relationship is a great way to improve your child’s performance in school. An advocate is someone who argues for a cause. In the case of your children and their education, being an advocate means supporting and standing up for them as they make their way through the education system. Parents are natural advocates for their children. As a parent, you should know your child better than anyone else. You have a great knowledge about their strengths, weaknesses and experiences. 

         You are their FIRST teacher and their GREATEST supporter. So, from that point you should be sharing the information about your child with the teachers at their school. From that, the teachers will try to give the child best of teaching suitable with the child ability. Furthermore through family support movement, a child gains her identity and sense of self from family when family strengths are recognized and needs are met through the community, families do better and children do better.

           The roles of parents are needed to help the children to develop their positive character either mentally or physically. Here is some example roles of parents is attends school events, help with, and monitor school assignments, establish home structures that support learning and establish communication and relationship with the school.
