Body tracing activity

In the month of August we talk and discuss  how the different parts of our body work. We also do work book and watching video that led to discussions about body functions, self-image and our images of others. 

Each child had the chance to trace a friend body.  The result was a great lesson in teamwork and pride in their artwork. We put a label of the body and we talk about the do and don't. We also sing a song about body. 

Body tracing is an activity that encourages talking, turn-taking and co-operating. Your child can practice important social skills when he works with another person to trace, provide a wonderful opportunity to reinforce positive messages about body image and help your child feel comfortable with his body and all the amazing things it can do.

After all.  Body tracing is fun activity to do with children.  

What you need:

Paper

Pencil color/crayon or marker

A child body to trace

If you have done do this activity, mind to share your lesson from the activity.

Calm down yoga

Calm down yoga. Not only for kids but for you who need the most calmness. Kid come and ask everyday;

Teacher how many days school left.  Ask the same question and answered the same answers.

So. No only the kids.  The teacher too,everyday count the day that past by.  Everyday hope the day goes fast. Flow smooth. 

Nothing interesting that blow the hair naturally.  It's just the wind from hair dryer. That forcing to dry. Exhausted.

Anak-anak boleh membantu dengan meletakkan bekas serunding diatas dining table.. Nampak mudah bukan? Tapi kerja 3 saat boleh jadi 10 minit.. anak-anak mengantuk.. tidur di meja.. nak bangun sahur pun susah ini kan pula nak minta tolong itu tolong ini..

Jadi? Dear Parents, please encourage your children to use child-friendly scissors at home, of course with close supervision by an adult/s.

Dear Teachers, encourage this at schools, but do not limit the time. As long as they are focusing on cutting or snipping, let them EXPLORE!

Stages of cutting:
1. Simply snipping away.. (as long as they can hold the scissors and snip snip it)
2. Cutting straight lines (age 4)
3. Cutting shapes (usually age 4 and above)
4. Complex cutting (usually age 5 and above)

Use different materials for them to explore:
1. thin paper
2. foam
3. thick paper / board
4. cloth
5. etc...

Tips:
Make sure both thumbs are up while cutting.
Thumbs are up while holding the scissors.
Thumbs are up while holding the materials.

Activities for Children Cognitive Development.

'sambil' leisure at home. i always try to spend some times to make small research about enhancing my knowledge in children development and for some reason. i love more to spend my precious time with kids. especially with my niece and nephew.

so here, i would like to share with you people who have children around. this activities is simple one to do and it is waste if we neglect these activities.

1. Practice the Alphabet.

I understand when some of us thought that we do not need to rush kids in academic learning. especially in knowing the alphabet. but it does not mean we should ignore. do not rush mean do not force but doing a fun activities with them. so, for this activities, we can always sing the alphabet song. trust me, it's help. second, highlight the ABC when you read a book with your children. especially the book tittle. 

2. Count.

Count everything. count how many toys the children have. count how many flowers in books. count when using stairs. count how many birds fly. sing a number song and count. count the block. count a stake toys.

3. Sing Together.

Sing a songs together make your relationship between you and your children close. i found it. i love sing with my niece Milliy and we sing a lot of songs together. and She well know very much songs at age of 2. Her language development also well developed. play a CD's or install many song at your home and your car.  choose the music you love and play over and over again. your children will start sings along when she recognize what she is singing from time to time. here is Milliy's favourite songs WATERMELON SONG. and remember to select songs with repetition words.

4. Give Her/His choice.

This one always forget to do. i knows well somehow an adult have some a memory problem when she want do that she will do another one. so here, please remember. given them a chance to choose will embrace them more. they will recognize and more appreciate in future. try your best to give them a chance to choose. would you like apple or watermelon juice? do you want Elsa dress or  Anna dress? 

5. Identify the noises and sounds.

Ask your children to identify the noise they hear. a car, bus, motorcycle, an animals; birds, cats, chicken.

belon bola dalam air

gambar dekat atas tu aktiviti malam lepas dinner dekat restoran kapal terbang. we went to balai islam for survey the activities inside the banner. that was kelate fest. so, there was so many food talls outside of balai islam. there also supa dupa and this new water sport game. while inside the balai islam, there were so many vendor that sell a scarf, dress, blouse, cosmetics product, and few more things. so the shopaholic sure will come. 

so back to the picture, my nephew Arshad wanted and excited to try this game. so, i am too.. but my weight just seem impossible to do so. my sisters and the trainers also said the same things that i can just try. my nephew keep persuade to play with him..ahhhhh... i just do it and follow what my heart said. yess.. its night no one can see clearly.. lets just try and go forward..  this water sport game i have watched so many times before and wanted to experience how is the feel inside the ball. and yes its exciting.. hee.. forget about my weight and my obesity.. that gave me hundred year to forget how ashamed i am. :'( but afterall i am happy, my arshad also happy.. that it. end.

ohh, yet i don't know the name of this sports..

heee but its just like a ball..

and sure this game can develop gross children motor skills.

Letter A recognition

Actually this is last week activity. i just made a draft and editing again. its difficult to transfer a picture from phone to laptop. Apatah lagi video or whatsoever.. ohh i need a new phone.. weeheeee anyone would like to sponsor? sambil kenyit kenyit mata ^^

so, this are the activity for recognition alphabet. Faiz do not really gemar to paste and using glue. but luckily he enjoying doing this time activity because the cut paper have the same color with his baju(green color)

this activity objective was only three:

1. recognition letter and early writing skills.

2. green color

3. fine motor skill

duration was about 20 to 25 minutes.

dah hampir nak siap.

the beginnings. unfortunately i only have two picture. could not transfer this video yet :(

so here is the materials that you need:

1. white blank paper

2. any color paper. (start with your child favorite color) 

i ask Faiz to rip into pieces. he likes really much.

3. glue 

4.bowl.

homemade playdough

today, around 5 pm. my nephew ask for making their own playdough.. kalau ikut tahap kemalasan memang malas nak layan. but i believe, with play, interact in quality activity with them more could be help in better relationship in future. i do really love them. Nak bagi duit, nak beli toys selalu masih xmampu.. sob2.. so,, this is the only way..  kuatkan hati, bangun dan play with them. furthermore, playdough can help them in learning through many development of stages. so nanti i will share the benefits playing with playdough ok.. nak recipe tak? hihi

2 cawan tepung gandum

separuh cawan minyak masam

3/4 cawan air

3 sudu tepung jagung (actually agak2 jer)

after siap letak semua bahan2 penting.. baru bawa mereka keluar.. hee outdoor sessions pula..

faiz tengah borak cakap dia buat tulang.. 

dah buat lubang semut pula

konon nak buat experiment lepas dorang dah bosan main dough ni.. tapi xpuas2.. so xjadi la plan nak tunjuk dan suruh dorang explore sendiri volcano experiment.. hihihi

water color activity

nama saya faiz.. 3 tahun..aktiviti kegemaran saya sekarang buat aktiviti colouring menggunakan watercolour-ibu saudara faiz

Aktiviti colouring menggunakan brush and differnt type of aids also can help the children to imagination, building skills, acknowledge colour name, writing skills, creative and self esteem.. sekarang faiz semakin suka mewarna menggunakan water colour dan yang paling penting he is better in holding a pencil. This is good for his writing skills.. 

Kadang2 faiz xsuka diganggu ketika proses mewarna.. contohnya dengan pertanyaan faiz nak buat apa? Sekiranya he ask for a blank paper.. and he will said.. tengoklah dulu.. or said think(3x) like upin and ipin.. hee..then later when he need helps,ideas he will ask by himself.. he is more observing first and ask.. each child is different in different situation.. during this activity with blank paper and water colour.. i found he is more calm and relax.. 

Oohh.. faiz also start to acknowledege how using the water colour, brush,colour in between the gap of the line and have high curiosity through the combination of the colour..

Pewaris Meeting

       For our second project, we have to attending and joined are “Pewaris Meeting”. This meeting was conducted on 11 April 2015, Saturday. This meeting start from 8 am in the morning and end at 12 pm in the evening. 

This meeting are our first time meeting with parents and the presidents of the club. The meeting are went well. The meeting are discussing about the children, the event or programme that later on will be conducted at preschool SKS7, Bandar Baru Bangi. The meeting also talk and discussed about the achievement of the children from January to February. Furthermore the parents was discussing about others matter that arising such as, about the children safety, worksheets, cleanliness, E-extra book.

Besides that, this meeting also discussed about the way to improve the children skills, talents and the importantly about the children literacy problem. The teachers try to give the best ideas to the parents with the arising issues as a way for a solution. 

During this meeting also, we as a group member present our ideas for the preschool children to the head master, and the member of “Pewaris club” from the presentation, we have a positive feedback to continue with our plan and make a projects activity that need parents, teacher and children contribution. 

During the meeting held on

               From this meeting, i had learned how to conduct a meeting with a parents, how to handle question in between answer and ask question to the parents meeting. This meeting can help myself in future leading to conduct parents meeting or any meeting like this. this meeting also giving me an ideas in future how to solve a problem in children behaviors and enhance children skills with a helps of parents, teachers ideas.

LET BE RICH and CONTENT

Tonite, As i planning i am going to start sharing my old project as a practicum teacher at one of  National preschool in Bangi. I had planned about to sharing a project with kids since i was start my first internship. but since time and some other excuses stop me to doing that.

I also will start sharing my last years nursery project to my blog reader (even though nobody read) hehehe.. but its okay, for myself in future reference. IF ...

I wish and hopefully that i keep in my mind to sharing my activity with kids, as now also i keep doing a different activities or apply repetition activities with my ex student to my nephew and niece.

I wish, my passion about children wont stop. i wish i keep learning and sharing so i wont forget what i have done and will do later in my future ahead.  i wish that i can do something different from what i had studied, learned before and apply to my reality life.

This blog is no more expression of feeling only but also a motivation, a variety of activity with kids, a project with kids, about toys therapy, stress relieved, parenting tips, teachers,parents and kids emotion, a tips, trick and treat, and more than that a life story who want and have a big passion to be a rich person in life and living like a rich one. in whatever situation, in gentle heart, with a firm and strong will to be a better person. haha.. berbelit belit bahasanya ..

hide and seek game

look this brilliant boy here, faiz...i am just missing this little boy.. his naughty side look really cute and made my day feel full of blossoms..

he played hide and seek.. when i ignore him.. he try to make an attention.. ketuk-ketuk almari, buka tutup buka tutup almari, cuba nak panjat dan masuk dalam almari and finally berjaya.. sgt kelakar.. budak kecik ni.. rindu nak gomol-gomol and cium this little boy... but tomorrow i'm home.. hee... yeayhhh :D

salam,hye.. 

harini kita pening sangat. semua dah settle.. cuma festival ni jer lagi. aihh... korang korang tau x mana-mana company yang boleh atau confirm senang bagi sponsorship untuk any event. hmm.. nanti 3 hb feb kami akan adakan satu festival besar dekat uni. hmm quite big. seronok bila kita imagine akan keberhasilan program kita nanti. tapi tula banyak kerja kita nak kena buat kan. bukan mudah untuk kita buat projek yang besar.Apatah lagi kalo dia melibatkan banyak benda.

hmm,, untuk event ni, kami perlukan sponsorship seperti accessories, food,money or any other material yang boleh smooth kan program kami nanti. xsabar nak tunggu haritu. tapi bila fikir2 ohhh banyak benda yang harus dibuat. booth,decorations and also the sponsorship. aiyooo..

untuk booth saya dan any other group member kami akan buat pasal physical science. so nanti kalo korang berminat,especially to teacher parents boleh la check it out always this events. saya akan update dari semasa ke semasa pasal event ni nanti. untuk pengetahuan kalian lagi,terdapat lebih dari 25 booth pada hari tu tidak termasuk dengan booth2 jualan. the event will be full and pack with variety of science areas and activities such as:
